IT'S A WELFARE WARFARE STATE

It's a Welfare Warfare State by JJ3 The Liberty Bard

In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other.
-- Voltaire (1764)

If you have come to check out my blog I just want to say thank you.  I have created this blog to showcase my lyric writing abilities.  I began writing lyrics back in the 1990's.  At the time I wrote about surfing and environmental issues.  In early 2012 I began reading a website called the silverbearcafe(google it - worth checking out) because I wanted to know exactly what the Federal Reserve was and how it operated.  I wanted to understand how the house I bought in 2008 lost 40% of it's value over the next four years.  Didn't Bernanke tell us that housing values never went down?  I wanted to know who stole the equity in my home and robbed me to the tune of $80k.

What one person receives without working for...another person must work for without receiving.
So I started reading and finding answers.  I awakened.  Life is different now somehow.  I can't exactly define it but when I read mainstream articles or watch mainstream television I can see the propaganda more clearly now.  I understand how the economic collapse was managed and how we have never truly recovered from it and how it will happen again.  My eyes have been opened.

No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
-- Mark Twain (1866)

So I decided to write lyrics about what I had learned.  There are so many poetic thoughts and phrases that people throw around that I just try to capture in my songs.  How many times have you heard the phrase "Welfare warfare state"?  Have you ever heard how the words flow?  This phrase has a nice flow to it so I wrote a song to try and point out the futility of government.  Sure it sounds nice to have programs to help out the needy, but no one in government or any supporters of these types of programs ever considers the unintended consequences or the long term results of these types of programs.

Talk is cheap...except when Congress does it.

On one side you have the neocons who thrive on war and believe every problem that America has can be solved through aggression and violence.  On the other hand you have the democrats who act as if their policies are there to help out the less fortunate but in reality they just want to increase the welfare roles knowing that people will continue to vote for them because it is in their own self interest to do so.  It's only human nature to want something for nothing.  If the government is giving it out for free, then get out of my way because I want mine is the attitude of the average American.  They give no thought to the fact that government does not actually produce anything, that the only money that they have must come from the most productive citizens.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

Therefore the term welfare warfare state was coined.  Having read Ludwig Von Mises I have a solid understanding of how human action is forgotten by the government drones when they try to enforce their policies.  True free market capitalism is the only system that is built to take into consideration human self interests.  Socialism is a system constructed on the premise of how human beings could act if they were all angelic creatures who put others above themselves, however it does not work with the reality of how human beings were created.  Socialism works great for ants and bees just not for humans.  We all look out for ourselves and our friends and families, that is just how human motivation works.  Why do I go to work everyday?  So that I can provide for my wife and kids and for myself.  I don't do it for anyone else nor would I be motivated to work at all if that were the case.

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.
-- Aesop

I would recommend that everyone read Ludwig Von Mises.  Two of his books titles are Human Action and Fatal Conceit.  Fatal Conceit refers to government thinking that somehow it knows what is best for 300 million people and that it can manage this huge mass of individuals with different wants and needs.  It is the very essense of conceit to think that you as a political leader know what is best for me and my family.  You don't, you never will.  Only I know what is best for me and my family.  Both of these terms Human Action and Fatal Conceit were so poetic to me I wanted to write a song and include these terms in order to emphasize the importance of these two concepts.

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
-- Thomas Jefferson
How much longer must we put up with petty tyrants trying to dictate every aspect of our life?  There will be a revolution of ideas in this country that will change the way people think of government.  My goal is to write songs and connect with musicians to create music that will make people think about our currect structure and possible alternatives for after the next economic collapse.

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery.
-- Winston Churchill

IT'S A WELFARE WARFARE STATE BY JJ3

They demand that the people be disarmed,

All the while surrounded by armed guards,

They get rich from insider info,

Do what they do and off to jail you'd go,

They say gold is a barbarous relic,

Don't look now - but I think the Euro's sick,

They plan our lives down to the smallest fraction,

But forget about the force of human action.

It's a welfare-warfare state, with a populace sedate,

But I have hope I have to say,

cause more awaken every day,

so get off your boredom binge,

and come join the lunatic fringe.

The hypocrisy of authority,

Such a sight to see, what futility!

The super successful societies,

Have always been the ones with Liberty.

They turn truths into conspiracies,

I call them facts, but they call them theories,

Their plans may hurt or they may be so tame,

throughout it all, you know the planners remain the same,

They want control they want to watch our every move,

Get out of line, you'll have your innocence to prove,

They get their votes through handouts and deceit,

They'll come undone by their own fatal conceit.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work, because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation!

FINANCIAL RECKONING DAY

Lyrics by JJ3 The Liberty Bard

Video of JJ3 reciting these lyrics will be produced shortly.

FINANCIAL RECKONING DAY

When the smoke of ZIRP and the mirror of QE,
Lead a nation to believe in false prosperity,
When the magic show ends and illusion is revealed,
When the people look around and there’s nothing left to steal,
Will we turn the tv off and finally start to feel?
The American people got the short end of the deal.
Do we have the courage can we find the bravery,
To confront our servitude and escape our slavery?

CHORUS:

Quantitative Easing – yes it is so pleasing, To the Wall Street bankers and connected traders,

But for the average Joe who doesn’t really know,

What easing really means it’s only shattered dreams.

We’ve crucified savers on a cross of zero interest rates

Rewarded bad behavior and tempted the financial fates,

We’ve printed so much paper, only one thing left to contemplate,

When the Fed begins to taper, how long will we have to wait,

Before the party’s over and we begin to hyperinflate.

Mobs, Messiahs and markets too,
Empire of Debt - US I Owe U,
There’s really not that much left to say…
Just sitting here on the dock of the bay,
Waiting for financial reckoning day.

THE ANGELS FORGOT HOW TO FLY covered by Chiwawa

Lyrics by JJ3 The Liberty Bard
Song and Video by Chiwawa

The Angels Forgot How to Fly (Video and music by Krassy from Chiwawa)

As I begin my ascension, into a desperate dimension, I realize that I'm not alone.

I'm surrounded by clowns with ruby red frowns and frightened by their terrorizing tone.

They're chanting a chant, and I know that I can't escape them I'm chilled to the bone.

They start pressing forward and pushing me toward, a cross that I cannot condone.

But I dare not fight back, now my body's gone slack, then as one they all start to moan.

They're feeding on me, my fresh energy, is stolen like thieves in the night.

I reach for my sword, for strength I implore, from a God who's far out of sight.

But my sword isn't there, and I don't seem to care, 'cause I can't find a reason to fight.

But I once was a soul who was pure rock and roll and determined to do what was right.

But once what was pure, is now so obscure, only money is equal to might.

And what could have been warriors are now victims and voyeurs and lawyers of average height.

In stories of dragons and rose covered wagons, lies society's same alibi.

But the clowns rule the towns and the drugs all surround, the diamonds all destined to die.

Without breaking the chains, they struggle in vain and search for their next humble high.

While the crooks with their crimes, and the poets lost rhymes search in vain for the answer to why.

These souls without sins, these fairytale men, left us here with this knot to untie.

In a world so unkind, maybe one day we'll find a way to bid evil goodbye.

As I end my ascension from that desperate dimension, I look around and heave a great sigh.

For once what was great is now a world full of hate...seems the angels forgot how to fly.
