THERE'S NOTHING AT STAKE (EXCEPT THE FUTURE OF MAN)

BY JJ3 THE LIBERTY BARD

FULL LYRICS FOR THIS SONG BELOW

I'll admit, like many people out there I was politically apathetic until my first house that I bought in 2008 lost half of it's value.  Losing $80k in wealth will make you start asking questions quick like.  I wanted to know who robbed me.  Fortunately for us, we have this little thing called the internet where I could research the issues that brought about this collapse in the value of the biggest debt load I had ever taken on.  Yes my chains of debt are heavy.

I quickly discovered Ron Paul and his many speeches on sound money and the evils of the Federal Reserve System.  Ron Paul truly cured my apathy.  Since I had a talent for writing lyrics, I quickly turned the subject matter of my lyrics towards liberty and libertarian ideals, a subject which I quickly became passionate about the more I learned.

I was thinking what it must have been like for Ron Paul when he first entered the halls of Congress.  A truly honest politician enters the den of vipers.  In these lyrics I am trying to capture the passion that made a man (Ron Paul) give up his medical practice and run for Congress because he was upset that Richard Nixon took the US off the gold standard and away from sound money in 1971.  Ron Paul understands the monetary system and has helped me to understand it as well.  He knows that all fiat currency throughout history has fallen to it's intrinsic value which is zero.  He took these actions to try to awake Congress so they could do something to avoid the fate we find ourselves in now.

Facing an economic collapse and the beginning of WWIII I only wish more people had listened to his message.  It's too late at this point to make the necessary changes to avoid this fate, but at least he tried.

Here's to gold and silver!  Here's to a non-aggressive foreign policy!  Here's to prosperity through sound money! Read Murray Rothbard and Ludwig Von Mises.  Read Hayek's A Tiger by the Tail, read Henry Hazlitt's Economics in one Lesson.  Educate yourself now on how the monetary system works.  I know that ignorance is bliss but ignorance will also get you killed in the wrong situation.

On the top video:  This song was covered by a young French musician who goes by the name Lewanch.  He's a great person and I enjoy working with him immensely.  He has covered three songs for me so far and they all turned out amazing.  Here's his youtube channel if you want to listen to some of his other music.

Armed with knowledge I enter the lair of a corrupt system feeling quite laissez faire,
A free market army is guarding my back, as the mainstream media begins their attack,
silver and gold are my weapons of choice, backed by the power of the truth in my voice,
My only chance for change is to awaken the masses,
It's time to take off all your rose colored glasses.

There's nothing at stake, except the future of man,
and all our bought leaders, they don't have a plan,
they just know there's profit in a war with Iran,
All men of good conscience must join me and stand.

Stand for your right for individual choice,
stand for your right to listen to any voice,
stand for your right to protect your family,
stand for your right to protest peacifully,
stand for your right for personal privacy,
stand for your rights, because the people are we.

Filled with fury, the further I go, deeper down the rabbit hole, I find our true foe,
It came from Jekyll island in the dark of the night
the very creature our forefather's did fight.
A central banking system owned by the elites
wholly owned governments chained at their feet.
Their shackles of debt enslave the populations,
as their financial con games bankrupt our nation.

When bankers are gangsters, and lobbyists rule,
and they buy politicians, who just become tools,
to the corporate interests and the bubbles they blow,
and the government wants you to be too dumb to know,
all the ways that they steal the bread off our table,
and when you point it out, it's a fantastic fable,
but knowledge is golden, ain't that right Pony Boy,
and I know too much to share in the medias joy,
when they all point out that our economies fine,
Please don't ask questions, just get back in line,
But anger is just when it is righteous, enough is enough, let's get off the back of the bus,
let liberty serve us, defend our constitution, there's no time like right now
to start a revolution.

Here's a different version of the same song where I recite it to a beat for fun.
